CautionsYou can use a 10 % bleach solution to kill mildew, but you must rinse the fabric completely with fresh water to remove any chemical residue is mandatory as residual bleach will harm the fabric., If seams are sewn, those areas require seam sealer (applied to the underside, due to expected yellowing) to maintain waterproofness., Under No Circumstances should an abrasive cleaner or any cleaner with a solvent base be used. They may remove the protective top layer of the fabric, thus quickly reducing the lifespan of the fabric.
